I recently posted about automating eBay Followed Searches but did you know that Saved Searches on Craigslist can be automated too? They can be and this can help you find that secondhand item you are looking for before someone else.
Start by going to craigslist and clicking on one of the For Sale categories. The next step is to start your search. You can keep it simple and just put a single item in the search box, or you can construct a more complicated search.
If you click on the picture above it will become larger, and you can see that all the way over on the right side is an option to save your search. There are also places on the left side of the screen once you run a search to apply some additional criteria such as distance from your location and pricing.
I’m guessing that a lot of people are already familiar with this but haven’t created an account on Craigslist or saved a search. Once you do those steps, you can then view and edit or delete your saved Craigslist Searches.
This is where you can also set the Alert checkbox which will generate a daily email to you with the items that match your search. If someone lists an item that would be of interest to you, you should know about it with a day. You will get an email that looks like this.
I encourage you to try this out and let me know how it works for you.
