Devour Frozen Foods Review

I tried out some of the frozen foods from Devour that I saw at my local grocer and here are my thoughts about the ones I tried.

Lasagna Alfredo with Bacon and Sausage

Lasagna Alfredo with Bacon and Sausage

I’m used to eating lasagna with a red meat sauce, so this was a nice switch up.  The flavors of the Applewood Smoked Bacon and Italian Sausage went well with the creamy alfredo sauce.  570 calories with 330 coming from fat was delicious.  This is a single serving sized container but nothing says that you have to eat all of it at the same time.  I found it to be rich and good.  I would buy it again.

Angus Beef with Cornbread

Angus Beef with Cornbread

This was my favorite of the three Devour foods that I tried.  The beef was covered with a sweet and smokey sauce.  The cornbread was made with jalapenos and had a nice and spicy flavor.  It had 750 calories with 310 coming from fat.  I actually wished that the serving size was twice as much, that’s how tasty it was.  If I see it in the store again, I’m buying more than one of these again.

White Cheddar Mac & Cheese with Bacon

This was good but it was also the one out of three that I tried that I liked the least.  It’s not that it tasted bad, it just wasn’t as good as the other two.  It was cheesy and the bacon taste was nice.  If Bacon Mac & Cheese is your thing, you should still give it a try.

The product page at Devour shows many more in addition to the ones I bought at Publix, and I hope to be able to try the others at some time and review them as well.  Happy eating!
