Jimmy Dean Simple Scramblers for breakfast

Jimmy Dean Simple Scramblers for Breakfast

These Jimmy Dean Simple Scramblers are found in the refrigerated section of your grocer. I like that they aren’t frozen and they don’t have potatoes in them. Just eggs, cheese, and some meat. this was a good match for the Keto diet I tried out.

Preparation is super easy and quick. You open the sealed package and remote a small sealed cup that contains liquid eggs, and also a package that contains the cheese and meat. Empty the liquid eggs into the cup and place in the microwave for a short time. In mine that’s 60 seconds.

After a minute you take out the now hot cup of liquid eggs, and open the package of cheese and meat and stir it into the cup. Place the cup back into the microwave and cook it a second time. In my oven 50 seconds is what I use to finish cooking the mixture and have it solidify like scrambled eggs do when cooked.

I remove from the microwave and add pepper or some hot sauce and then it’s ready to consume straight from the container. I like that it yields pretty tasty results with a minimum of preparation effort or things to clean up.

I like all of them and usually pickup at least one of each of the three varieties. The pricing in the grocery store is much less than what I saw when adding the Amazon shopping info to this post.

Cheez-It crackers are something I like

Cheez-It crackers are something I like and when they were on sale as a BOGO, I used it as an opportunity to try two different flavors.  The Italian Four Cheese Cheez-Its were pretty good.  The addition of Romano, Parmesan, Asiago, and Mozzarella cheese boosts the flavor up where a cheese lover likes it.

When I was a kid and my parents did the shopping and I only recall there being a single kind. Today their website lists almost 20 different varieties of just the baked snack cracker, in addition to some other Cheez-It products.

Cheez-It Hot & Spicy

The other variety that I tried was the Hot & Spicy Cheez-It crackers which were made with Green Tabasco Hot Sauce and have Garlic and other spices added to the recipe.  They didn’t taste bad but were sort of salty to me  and I found that I preferred to eat just a couple at a time.  That’s not a bad thing and I think they would pair up better with beer than a diet soda.

The next time you are shopping for snacks, consider trying one of the many flavors of Chez-It baked snack crackers.

Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowl – Sausage

Sometimes I skip eating breakfast to save some calories but when I want to eat a breakfast quickly at home, I like a Jimmy Dean Sausage Breakfast bowl.

It’s ready in about 4 minutes and besides tasting pretty good, the portion is sized right to satisfy without making me feel too full.  This variety lacks the Bacon that’s found in the Meat Lovers version, but it has an ample amount of sausage and cheese.

I will typically buy 2 or 4 different kinds of these at the grocery store at the 2 for $5 price.  A cup of coffee and this with a squirt of hot sauce added is how I start many of my days.
